The Beauty of CLOUDS

CLOUDS are given different names based on their shape and their height in the sky.  Here is a diagram of when different clouds are located in the sky.

I have always been fascinated by clouds and how they frame our world in such a wondrous way, they can be so fluffy,  angry, majestic,  austere,  soft-looking and dream-like.  Here are photos I’ve taken through the years:

Excerpt from THE CLOUD by Percy Bysshe Shelley

“I am the daughter of Earth and Water,
And the nursling of the Sky;
I pass through the pores of the oceans and shores;
I change, but I cannot die.
For after the rain with never a stain
The pavilion of Heaven is bare,
And the winds and sunbeams with their convex gleams
Build up the blue dome of air.”
