Hello dear friends and loyal fans,
I am back. I have not written this column in almost 7 months, not because of anything complicated or serious. My Mom, Lady Alice, just has been so busy reorganizing our living circumstances, that I was unable to share my world with you. Basically we were unavailable, but here we are, and you will enjoy my column once more, I promise.
Update: last February I tore a tendon in my rear right leg (chasing the deer) and had to have surgery that month. I can happily report that today I am completely healed. I have spent the summer in the pond and this has helped the healing process for my torn tendon.
As you know we lost Schuyler last November and we are still very sad about that milestone. It still does seem strange around the house without him.
In his absence I have gotten very close to Mitzi, one of our beloved cats. I can’t explain how this has happened, maybe she realizes that I am lonely, maybe she is trying to butter me up so I will not chase her if she gets out-of-doors. I don’t like it when she gets out, I am afraid something bad will happen and I herd her inside right away. She makes a beeline for the flap door. When Mom goes out on an errand, Mitzi hangs out with me, she stay close. I love it!
Here are some photos, she is a winsome, charming feline.
Who says cats and dogs can’t be friends?
Stay tuned for more fall photos of me and Mitzi!
