Last Sunday, we spent the day with friends walking on Warren Street in Hudson, NY, where we discovered a trove of good eateries and fine retail stores, not to mention the famous antique shops. Here is a list of ones that I especially like, know well, and recommend that you visit:

ANTIQUES

IDA’S EYE, 711 Warren Street
Mother-daughter antique shop full of lovely vintage and unusual items, how about a leopard head (70s, styrofoam) for my partner to hang his most elegant umbrella. On Sunday we found very cute kitten napkin rings, which my girlfriend loved to add to her cat collection (a tribute to her new kitten Lizzie!). Website: www.etsy.com/shop/idaseyeantiques

ELIJAH SLOCUM, 508 Warren Street
